Travelling exhibitions

Why not visit CERN at a place near you? The travelling exhibition visits many countries.

  • Accelerating Science is CERN's flagship travelling exhibition. In five modules, it takes visitors on an extraordinary journey, starting with the Big Bang. The particles, the mysteries of the universe and the LHC's exploration of matter guide the visitor through this early-21st-century scientific adventure.
As you progress round Accelerating Science you will also realise to what extent fundamental research is a tremendous driving force behind innovation.

  • Accelerating Nobels. When fundamental research explores uncharted territory it sometimes throws up remarkable discoveries. This exhibition recognises the work of men and women. Accelerating Nobels is a series of images of the people who embody the Nobel prizes. This exhibition was created with the support of the Meyrin Foundation for Cultural, Sporting and Social Development.

  • Peter Ginter. When a famous photographer came together with the biggest physics experiment in the world, the result was a unique exhibition called "CERN through the lens of Peter Ginter". Peter Ginter's superb images tell the story of the amazing international adventure that was the construction of the LHC

  • Big science. A big exhibition for a big machine: the Big science, exhibition pays tribute to the physics being done on a huge scale in order to explore matter and seek answers to fundamental questions about the universe and its evolution.

  • Mini Expo. But it is also possible to present CERN and its work in a more institutional exhibition: the Mini Expo can be part of an international gathering, a trade fair or a national event.

  • It is possible to reserve all of these exhibitions. The calendar of availability and booking terms and conditions are available from Contacts.
